November is a great month in which to visit Dublin. It’s cold but usually bright and sunny and there is no shortage of things to do and see in and around the city. Here’s our pick:
Guinness Series Rugby
The Autumn Internationals, as the Guinness Series is also known, mark the beginning of Ireland’s international rugby season and the end of year tours for visiting nations. This year we face the mighty All Blacks, Argentina and the USA in our national rugby stadium which is a short walk from the hotel.
Whiskey Live Dublin 2018
A uniquely Dublin event: Whiskey Live Dublin is a celebration of whiskey culture in Ireland, both big name and small artisan, special editions and limited cask bottles, all of them beautiful, including the exclusive blends of Irish whiskey. You can sample whiskies from all over the country, discover food pairings, cocktails, mixings and take part in masterclasses.
The world’s biggest rock and roll band are coming back home to their native Dublin from November 5th to the 10th, playing in the 3Arena on the river. You won’t find tickets for love nor money but it’s good to know the whole city will be buzzing.
The Irish National Opera will present a spectacular version of Giuseppe Verdi’s timeless opera, Aida, for a limited run of shows at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre from November 24th to 01 December 1st. Book your tickets for Aida here.
The Great Gatsby
Following a critically acclaimed, award-winning sell-out run in 2017, Jay Gatsby is back at The Gate theatre in Dublin from November 15th to January 20th. Read more about the production and book your tickets for The Great Gatsby here.
