NEW RESTAURANTS IN DUBLIN

Roberta’s

In Temple Bar and overlooking the River Liffey, Roberta’s is a loft style open restaurant serving some really unusual, contemporary food. We recommend you give it a go.

NoLIta

With art deco club chairs and leather booths, NoLIta is, as you’d expect, a New York style restaurant serving pizza and pasta and that sort of thing. Simple menus but it’s all very, very stylish.

This is the hottest trend in dining – Hawaiian sushi, or Poké – has arrived in Dublin with Klaw Poké on fashionable Capel Street. Try it and let us know what you think.

Morelands Grill

The Morelands Grill is a really nice steakhouse on Westmoreland Street (hence the name). A little different in that it’s not really an American look but a new Dublin one.

NEW BARS IN DUBLIN

The Bowery

Another New York name but The Bowery is very different. It’s a live music venue and rum bar in Rathmines and it’s, wait for it, built like the inside of an ancient galleon.

Farrier & Draper

It really doesn’t get more elegant than this: spread out over three floors in the Powerscourt Townhouse, Farrier & Draper is breathtakingly gorgeous. No, we’re not exaggerating here.

Zozimus

Zozimus is another visually amazing bar, this time with a touch of Mary Poppins and a dash of steampunk. It’s on South Anne Street and also serves brunch, lunch and dinner.

Lemon & Duke

On the corner of Lemon Street and Duke Street just off Grafton Street is this hugely popular new bar. Lemon & Duke has a lot of dark wood, glass and polished brass and, of course, lots of lovely cocktails.

NEW ATTRACTIONS IN DUBLIN

New Jameson Distillery

The Jameson Distillery in Smithfield is now open again following an €11 million refurbishment. You can do the relatively simple tour or the one we recommend: The ‘Whiskey Makers’ masterclass.

EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum

Located in Dublin’s Docklands, the Epic Museum is the Irish Emigration Museum and is a very, very important testament to our heritage as it tells the stories of Irish emigration around the world.
